During week 2 of 2007, Accessible Travel readers were most interested in trivia, cheap flights, and the MISS Ability reality TV show.
It seems everyone has a taste for trivia around here!
The Top 3 items in Accessible Travel this week were:
#1. (#5 last week): SPOILER - Trivia Quiz ANSWERS Well, trivia lovers, here's some good news. Suite101 has a whole section on games and trivia. And, last week in Accessible Travel, there was a Sir John Franklin trivia question based upon two of the recent Accessible Travel articles.
#2. (#2 last week): "Cheap travel - Dec. 29, 2006 deal" features Air Canada passes. Repeating the commentary on Air Canada all you can fly deals from last week: These passes may be a good deal, depending upon your particular travel needs. The cost of living generally can be higher for anyone who has a disability or special need. If it's necessary to take an attendant or companion along on a trip the cost is sometimes suddenly doubled. Perhaps these passes can take the sting out of that. For more Budget Travel suggestions, writer Michelle Snow has many ideas.
#3. (#1 last week): "Miss Ability Reality TV", about the Dutch reality TV show MISS Ability being bid on by broadcasters around the world. I don't have any updates about MISS Ability for you, but if you want to follow the news on this show, please let Deanna Couras Goodson know. She's the writer for Reality TV on Suite101.com. You can start a discussion on the show in the Reality TV area - it's a show everyone is waiting for. I expect it will be controversial when it runs in North America.
And falling off our top 3 this week, but only to #4 is "Politically Correct Travel Terms", how to choose respectful language when talking about other people.
I am glad to see so many people interested in the subject of finding the right terms to describe a person. It's a question I deal with every time I sit down to write.
