I've just posted a number of articles to help you take full advantage of a website run by the Disabled Travel Information Group from England.
One of the many things I am impressed with is that this resource got started because one couple was frustrated with trying to get information about where they could go for a weekend away.
Frank Napper is a wheelchair user. When he and his wife Sue wanted to get away in 2001, they found it hard to locate information about everything a tourist needs - accommodation AND activities AND attractions. It seems like such a reasonable request! But there was a gap.
Since then, Frank and Sue and others have worked hard to made a website and a service for travellers in the same situation. They collect and publish first-hand information about the whole tourist experience, by disabled travellers, for disabled travellers.
It's always exciting to find people who take initiative. I love their website and I hope that anyone who's planning to visit the UK will have a look. It will inspire you to seek out some places you may never have heard of - great places with rich history and tremendous natural beauty.
Well done, Nappers.
