I did a comparison of the Western Commuter pass against the competition, WestJet, and found that WestJet's LOWEST price beat the pass - but if you can't manage to get that lowest price on every flight, then the pass might be your best option.

I do wonder whether there are seats available for all the flights a person with a pass would want to take.

At least Air Canada is trying to be innovative.
