In response to wheelchair accessible Bed and Breakfast around Brighton- Hove posted by roswita:
Hi Roswita,
Some suggestions:
1. My articles about Disabled Holiday Info, a U.K. group, might give you some leads. I don't have a piece about Brighton specifically but the people at Disabled Holiday Info may know of some resources there. To find the articles just use the search bar on this page (within Suite101.com) and search for "disabled holiday info" (without the quote marks).
2. Often the local Visitor Information Centre, or Tourist Information Centre, has accommodation listings with accessibility ratings. In using these I would always phone the place and ask specifically whether they can accommodate you.
3. I have found a website that looks promising, but I haven't used it myself. Holiday Care UK is the name of the organization. If you do a search on that name you should find it very easily.
4. The government organization Tourism for All also has a website that might provide you with some leads. You can ask the places you are considering staying at whether they meet the National Accessibility Scheme standards, whether they have been inspected under that scheme, and what level of accessibility they have.
Please let us know how you get on, and best wishes,
Jill
